The HBF Star Rating Scheme awards builders stars for customer satisfaction.

The number of stars awarded is based on the homeowner feedback in an independent National New Homes Survey of customer satisfaction. The annual survey is one of the most comprehensive, large-scale surveys of its type carried out in the UK The survey is operated by NHBC, is entirely independent of any builder or builder group and is independently validated. The survey is designed to provide home buyers with information about home builders to help guide their purchasing decision and to encourage excellent levels of service to be delivered by home builders.

To receive a 5-star rating the results are based on the first question in the survey which is:

Would you recommend your builder to a friend?

The criteria for a 5-star rating is that 90% or more of our homeowners replied yes they would recommend their builder to a friend. Only 41 Developers nationwide were awarded 5 stars this year.
